I know we've lost all contact, so there's no way you'll ever read this. And even if you did, you'd prefer to see this written in portuguese, so you won't even understand what I'm saying in the first place.

We shared 3 years in college. And in two we shared the same home. And we had all the fun we could. Either we were playing ping-pong with videotapes being used as net, only to then evolve to the traditional net and professional rackets. Then we also had fun when we created our own stupid games in our rooms. And even in the kitchen when we were doing dishes. Doing dishes was the funniest part of us living together, because one would wash, the second would clean, and then we'd even create a game with the kitchen towels. We also had fun when we traveled in your car, either to our town or the town we'd study, travels where I'd complain about your brazilian music taste, only to then start hearing our favorite Eurovision songs, and you'd complain about the drivers who'd slow down when we couldn't pass but sped up when it was possible. We had lots of fun, even when watching our favorite team play (and fail counter-attacks), to which I still have a video of that because in our first year I went to your home and your housemate that year recorded our reaction to that goal our team failed. It was awesome. Or our Harry Potter talks where you'd share all the fan theories, until we went to the cinema to watch Fantastic Beasts. We promised we'd see the second, but we've lost contact and it never happened.

We also had some of our talks. I shared you my experience in my other college, where you'd mock me about the way I showed you how I decided to quit. I know it was for laughs, and I got even when you showed me a former girlfriend of yours and I asked "you dated that?!", and if you saw your facial expression you'd be laughing as well. Or when you told me about the best friend you had that got a boyfriend and suddenly stopped talking to you, or someone I helped who seemed interested in me but couldn't let me go until I got fed up of that person. Or even when we complained about our housemates in our second year, or when I complained about my housemates in my first year. It's true we didn't share a house when we started college, but we knew it was meant to be.

Although we no longer talk because I deactivated my facebook and you rarely use your phone, all you need to know from me is that you were a very cool housemate, a very cool friend, and I wish you finished college when I didn't, and hope you are now training your favorite club in the world, which I don't need to tell everyone which is. I just hope that wherever you are, you are safe.

This is my open letter.
